I wish I was as good in baking as they are in drawing…

Very difficult to get my wife out of the house, but a free spa did the trick

So I had some time to do bake her favorite dessert: lemon-cake!

What I learned in the corporate world now came in handy: always have a backup plan! In this case I already ordered a special lemon cake at the bakery a few villages further, in case mine looked a bit… well, the picture says it all…

Time to feed the geese some cakes, close the door of the kitchen to keep the smell, go to the bakery now and see how experienced charms still work

Anyway: great fun this weekend for the grandchildren Not to mention the grandparents as well

Add to that some cheap wine heated with cinnamon, and before we knew it, we felt more hot than on a summers day…

Talking of which… only 2 months to go and it’s spring. If the snow goes, I will be the first to saw some sweet peas: they are quite cold resistant.

Now before that law was in place, most people would burn there Christmas-tree in the garden: the most easy way to get rid of your tree, and I must say: it burns great

So when the law came in place: people got stuck with their Christmas trees.

Now our fire-brigade, which is a voluntary team, was so smart to collect all people’s Christmas trees and burn them this Sunday.

Add to that fireworks, BBQ, food and drinks, and they found an ideal way to earn some extra income for their team.

They not only served us a great evening but did our community again another favor by getting rid of our trees.
